In a pressure cooker heat oil, then add whole garam masala(3 clove, 4 pepper, 1 Cinnamon stick, 1bay leaf).once these splits, add 2 medium size sliced onion, then let it saute for 2-3 mins, when the color start changing add ginger and garlic paste each 1 tbsp. Stir it for while then add 2 slit green chilly. Now add 1/4 tsp turmeric pwd, 2 tbsp coriander pwd, 1 tbsp chilly pwd let it saute then add 2 tomatoes and add 1/2 tsp kasuri methi. Then add soaked chole to this and also water and let it cook in pressure cooker .after 1st whistle reduce the flame to low and cook for 10 min or for 2 more whistle. Then once pressure is released open and add garam masala and if needed water and heat for a while and garnish with coriander leaves.
Tips from Sujata: Once you open cooker add little anardana powder or little curd.
Also if you puree tomatoes with little coriander and a green chilli and one green elaichi the gravy taste is good
